UPS & FedEx Shipping Information

Please note that we reserve the right to select FEDEX as an alternate shipper at our discretion, unless specifically instructed otherwise by our customer. We normally source various shipping options, including Priority mail, to determine the most economical option for our customer.

To compute shipping charges, figure TOTAL WEIGHT of merchandise ordered (weights per piece are shown on chart on Fiberglass Price List page) and ADD 3 LBS for packaging. Remember...because many of our products are very long, UPS "over size" and "additional handling" charges may apply! Full 8 foot length products shipped carry a 70 pounds minimum charge plus a $7 per box additional handling charge. Please read the UPS shipping policy below carefully before ordering so you can get the most for your shipping dollar!

UPS charges are based on three classes of packages based on length and girth. If package is not over 60 inches long (fiberglass can be up to 58 inches long) and length plus girth is less than 130 inches, the package ships at a rate based on its actual weight.

If package length plus girth is over 84 inches (maximum length of fiberglass is 68 inches) and length plus girth is less than 130 inches, the package is classed as "Oversize 1", and ships at a 30 pound minimum rate (or actual rate if weight is over 30 pounds) PLUS a $7 per package "additional handling" charge. If package length plus girth exceeds 108 inches (and all of our packages that contain our full-length 8 foot long fiberglass fall into this class), the package is classed as "Oversize 2", and ships at a 70 pound minimum rate, (or actual rate if weight is over 70 pounds) PLUS a $7 per package "additional handling" charge.

To get maximum benefit for your UPS shipping dollar (if shipping goods longer than 58 inches), we recommend shipping packages weighing at least as much as these minimum charges....combine orders with friends...order all the product you might possibly need at the same time.

We do cut fiberglass, if you wish, at a small charge . For details, as well as some useful cutting notes, CLICK HERE .

Find your UPS Zone from the Zone Chart and determine shipping charges from the UPS Ground Residential Scheduled Delivery charts below. Refer to the UPS Ground Guaranteed Day-Definite Delivery Map at the bottom of this page to see the approximate days of shipping transit time via UPS ground.

To determine time in transit to your location, refer to the UPS Ground Guaranteed Day-Definite Delivery Map (or the FedEx time in transit map) at the bottom of this page. Remember that time is based on "work-days", and does not include Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.

Duties, customs charges, VAT, and / or  brokerages fees , (if any might apply for your country) are impossible for the shipper to determine, and are ALWAYS the responsibility of the purchaser. International customers agree to pay any and all additional charges that may be billed to cover these items.

UPS Ground Residential Scheduled Delivery
Click on the appropriate weight ranges in the table below to see shipping rates to your zone.

FUEL ADJUSTMENT SURCHARGE: UPS and FedEx are now charging several additional add-on fees in addition to the base rate tables. Most of these fees are location specific. Applicable to all orders, a variable “fuel adjustment surcharge”, typically adjusted monthly, is assessed in order to recover increased fuel costs. This fuel adjustment surcharge is a small percentage which is added to the rates in the following rate tables. Residential addresses will also incur a “residential delivery surcharge”. Deliveries to rural areas may also incur a “delivery area surcharge”. The rate tables accessed below by clicking the weight ranges will be very close for urban or non-rural suburban business addresses. The variability of these other charges make exact shipping quotes by table impossible, especially for rural residential deliveries. If you would like an exact shipping quote prior to ordering, just ask, and we will be happy to calculate it for you.

Weight: 1 - 35 lbs 30 - 70 lbs 71 - 110 lbs 111 - 150 lbs

Any fraction of a pound over the weight shown takes the next higher rate.

Our customers have told us that the following terms have legitimately helped them find us, and the products that we index and sell on this page. If you have an idea of another term you were looking for where that need would be legitimately satisfied by goods indexed or found on this page only, please let us know.     Please be very selective in suggesting additional terms for this section. We want potential customers to be able to quickly and easily find us, but under no circumstances do we want to "spam" anyone with unrelated search results!
