The Jennings CMV1-650-0603 ceramic vacuum variable capacitor tunes from 8-650 pf, and is rated 40 amps, 3 kv peak. Furnished with a 4 hole, permanently mounted front flange for mounting. Rear has a threaded shaft of 3/8 inch diameter, 32 threads / inch for rear connection. Mating nut included. This very compact unit measures 3.5 inches long and 1.78 inch maximum diameter. Weight is just 12.5 ounces (355 grams). This capacitor is furnished with a very short, slotted adjustment shaft of 5/16 inch diameter. It was used in (and removed from) a military bandpass filter where it was adjusted to resonance with a flat-blade screwdriver. Almost all of these units were new / unused, and the capacitors are in perfect condition. Ideal for set-and-forget applications, or adapt the 5/16" shaft to a more standard diameter (such as ¼ inch), and adjust with an extended insulated shaft. Comet CV03C-1000P/3 ceramic vacuum variable capacitor Shaft diameter is 1/4 inch. Approx. 9 turns for full travel. The Comet (Swiss made) equivalent type to the Jennings CVCJ-1000-5D2363. This is the 5kv peak version, not the 3 kv peak version like the Jennings CVCJ-1000-3D2363. It has the same capacitance range of 7-1000 pf, increased voltage rating to 5 kv peak, and slightly increased current handling to 70 amps. Removed from equipment, hipot tested, and fully guaranteed. Shown in photo with a Jennings FM-2 front flange, which is not included at this price. We have either the Comet or Jennings 2 inch diameter front flanges available for $19 if purchased with this capacitor. The Jennings UCSXF-1000-15S vacuum variable capacitor is rated at 12-1000 pf, 15 kv peak, and 70 amps maximum continuous RMS. The shaft is 1/2 inch diameter, and requires 40 turns for full travel. Maximum diameter is 4.31 inches, and overall length is 9.937 inches. Weight is 4 pounds. Requires FM3B front flange, and FM2B rear flange, not included, but usually available at additional cost. Comet CV05C-1000LN/5 ceramic vacuum variable capacitor. Rated as 100-1000 pf, at 5000 volts peak. Our actual units typically tune to a minimum of about 25 pf. Maximum continuous current is 136 amps at 13.56 mhz. Part of the Comet "Power-Con" series, designed for high currents, low inductance, and high frequency (100 mhz. ) Diameter is 86 mm, and overall length is 181.1 mm (including the extra-long 1/4 inch OD tuning shaft . ) The capacitor has 6 drilled and tapped holes for mounting on both the front and rear shoulders, so no flanges are needed. Length of body from front flange to rear flange is only 3.875 inches! A very compact capacitor for cramped locations. Shaft extends past the red "puller" by 1.875 inches. Condition is removed from equipment, thoroughly tested, and guaranteed. Weight is approximately 2.6 pounds Price: $159 (Order Now) "Out of spec" and "budget" capacitors: If you want the quality and performance of vacuum capacitors, but the budget just won't allow it, (or if you are just looking to save some money) we frequently have "out of spec" capacitors . These capacitors do not meet the specifications for the particular model . This can happen because of many reasons, but they are still perfectly usable in other capacitance ranges or maximum voltages . For instance, we might have a type that is listed at 15 kv, but tests good to 12 kv . In this case, we will not sell it to a user who needs 15 kv ratings, but if you need only 5 kv, 7 . 5 kv, or 10 kv, this capacitor would do nicely . If you want us to check our "out of spec" shelves for current stock, just tell us your capacitance range and voltage requirements (and current rating if you know it . . . or approximate power level) and we will let you know what we have available at steep discounts! The Comet CV05C-650N/5 ceramic vacuum capacitor is rated 8-650 pf, 5 kv peak, and 63 amps RMS maximum current. New format Comet part number is CVDU-650CC/5-DEF. Diameter is 46 mm, Length is 114.3 mm, and weight is .4 kg. (.88 pound) Slotted shaft is 1/4 inch diameter. Very compact, furnished with integral 4-hole front flange, and threaded rear bolt for easy mounting.

Jennings type UCSL-1000-5 glass vacuum variable capacitor . Rated at 7-1000 pf, and 75 amps maximum current. Maximum diameter is 3.07 inches. Length overall is 8 inches. Has 1/4" OD shaft. (Sometimes available with 1/2" OD shaft if desired.) Note that this is the 5KV peak version of the UCSL-1000, May also be shown as UCSL-1000-5D910, or under national stock number (NSN) 919-0197-000.
