Jennings UCS-300 glass vacuum variable capacitor

We frequently have a wide assortment of this type available in several configurations. All are rated at 10 to 300 pf.

Maximum continuous current rating is 55 amps RMS at 5 Mhz. Maximum diameter is 2.57 inches. Length overall is 8.75 inches.

Takes 2 inch diameter FM-2 flange on front, and .88 inch diameter FM0B flange on rear. Requires 23 turns for full travel. Weight 1 pound, 11 ounces. We have many suffixes available (the numbers after the UCS-300) so ask if you have a specific requirement.

Jennings UCSL-500-5S

Jennings UCSL-500-5S glass vacuum variable capacitor. Has 1/4 inch OD shaft. Approximately 20 turns full travel. Rated 5-500 pf, and 5 kv peak. Maximum current 40 amps RMS at 6 Mhz. 4.94 inches long overall (Very compact!) 2.32 " maximum diameter Has 2.19" diameter permanent front flange, with drilled (not tapped) holes for mounting. With .81 inch diameter nipple on rear end for compression connection. (Fits FM0D flange, not supplied, but usually in stock at extra cost.)

Jennings type CSVF-500 - 0315

This capacitor is the 15 kv rated version of the Jennings type CSVF-500 / UCSF 500 0107 (shown above). Rated 12-500 pf, 15 kv peak, the CSVF-500-0315 this capacitor accepts the Jennings FM-2 front flange and Jennings FM2S rear flange, available at additional cost. Maximum allowable current is 65 amps at approximately 3.5 Mhz. Diameter is 3.5 inches, and length overall is 7.88 inches. Weight is 3 pounds. Shaft diameter: 1/4 inch. Hipot tested, and fully satisfaction guaranteed.

"Out of spec" and "budget" capacitors: If you want the quality and performance of vacuum capacitors, but the budget just won't allow it, (or if you are just looking to save some money) we frequently have "out of spec" capacitors . These capacitors do not meet the specifications for the particular model . This can happen because of many reasons, but they are still perfectly usable in other capacitance ranges or maximum voltages . For instance, we might have a type that is listed at 15 kv, but tests good to 12 kv . In this case, we will not sell it to a user who needs 15 kv ratings, but if you need only 5 kv, 7 . 5 kv, or 10 kv, this capacitor would do nicely . If you want us to check our "out of spec" shelves for current stock, just tell us your capacitance range and voltage requirements (and current rating if you know it . . . or approximate power level) and we will let you know what we have available at steep discounts!

"SCRATCH AND DENT" We also frequently have in stock many vacuum capacitors which have cosmetic blemishes such as dents, which would not meet our high standards for regular sale, but which still check good, both in range, and in their ability to withstand voltage .

Some dents will damage or totally destroy a capacitor . Others, if they occur in just the right places, cause no harm at all . We have the knowledge and test capability to make these determinations, and if they pass our stringent testing, sell these units at discounted prices with our regular guarantee!
