"Quick-connect" style to UHF female adapter for Bird (and similar) wattmeter line sections

We are proud to offer these brand new adapters (pictures on the left) which fit the Bird Electronics (and similar types such as S truthers, Coaxial Dynamics, etc.) wattmeter line sections (sometimes called "pick-ups"). One side is the quick-connect style male pin which plugs into the line section, the other is the popular UHF female, or SO-239 connector. Our adapters are beautifully made, featuring the finest quality nickel-plated solid brass body, with high quality teflon dielec tr ic and GENUINE SILVER-PLATED BERYLLIUM COPPER center pin! This is ex tr emely important, since beryllium copper is what makes the contact fingers "springy" (unlike plain copper or brass) so that they will maintain tight contact with the inside of the line section insertion after insertion. Non-beryllium copper fingers bend inward and stay bent (no springyness) and quickly lose contact, risking your expensive equipment! Our adapters hipot test to 5500 volts+!

We are proud to offer these brand new adapters (picture on the left) which fit the Bird Electronics (and similar types such as Struthers, Coaxial Dynamics, etc.) wattmeter line sections (sometimes called "pick-ups"). One side is the quick-connect style male pin which plugs into the line section, the other is type N female. Our adapters are beautifully made, featuring the finest quality nickel-plated solid brass body , with high quality teflon dielectric and GENUINE SILVER-PLATED BERYLLIUM COPPER center pin! This is extremely important, since beryllium copper is what makes the contact fingers "springy" (unlike plain copper or brass) so that they will maintain tight contact with the inside of the line section insertion after insertion. Non-beryllium copper fingers bend inward and stay bent (no springyness) and quickly lose contact, risking your expensive equipment! In comparative tests, our line hipot tested 600+ volts HIGHER than Bird branded of the same type. Internal contact with the line section was also tighter for lower loss.

With our new adapter, (our stock number i9200) you can use the VERY readily available BNC male / BNC male RG-58 cables (very inexpensive) to place your indicating meter almost anywhere you want! Just cut off the other cable end and separate the center conductor from the braid.

Connect center conductor to terminal on back of meter, and braid to terminal on back of meter, and you are"good to go".

These Bird QC (quick change) to type LC female adapters plug in to Bird line sections. They are in "removed from equipment / excellent" condition, fully guaranteed to your satisfaction.  (Compare at $89 each and more!) Two types usually available... (verify stock on the style you want before ordering). Style 1 is the "small flange version, usable on the small line sections, as you find on the Bird model 43 wattmeter.  Flange on style 1 measures 1.25 inch square. Genuine Bird wattmeter elements (slugs)

These elements are marked "4610"  and "741". We are not certain which particular Bird wattmeter they are designed for, and would welcome more information. Range is 1500 watts, 400-1000 Mhz.

These very unusual elements are marked "436-18" on the 4000 watt and "436-3" on the 2000 watt.  We are not certain which particular Bird wattmeter they are designed for, and would welcome more information. Frequency range is from .4 to .5 Mhz  (400 Khz to 500 Khz)  Maybe originally used with Loran system.  Unused, old stock.
