How to identify LC vs LT connectors:

The photo here shows a close-up of the more standard LC male (on the left) next to the less common LT male, on the right. (Click the picture to enlarge.)

The most obvious difference is the thickness of the internal contact ring. The interior contact ring on the LT is far thicker that that on the LC. The external diameter and threads are the same on both types, so they will "start?to mate, but the two types are in fact not compatible, and forcing them (an LT male into an LC female, or an LC male into an LT female)  further than the point where resistance is felt will result in damage.   For further drawings, illus tr ations, and information on these two types, follow this link to the Delta RF page: http://www.deltarf.com/pdf/DeltaLC.pdf   (Don't forget to come back here to Max-Gain Systems, Inc.!)

This heavy duty RF coaxial switch is SPDT, and has a 115 VAC actuator coil. Control voltage input is via a standard 3 conductor military plug, which should be available cheaply from:

The relay has type LC female connectors, and measures 9.5 inches long overall, and 5.8 inches wide at widest point (across the connectors).

Thompson Ramo Woolridge, Inc. type C14K20A SPDT coaxial switch with LC or LT connectors. 

These very hefty and high power rated RF coaxial relays (rated 10 kw plus to 30 Mhz,  5kw CW at 100 MHz, and 400 watts CW at 5 Ghz!) are originally supplied with type LT female connectors. The type LT will not mate with the far more common type LC connectors due to a smaller diameter "throat" inside, so we contracted with a machinist to lathe the LT connectors' internal throat to the larger throat diameter of the type LC! These will now mate with type LC male connectors. We do have a very few unconverted units with the original LT connectors, so if you prefer these, inquire as to availability. These relays require a 7 pin female power connector, which we can supply (see photo) AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE AS LONG AS SUPPLY LASTS!  Does not ground unused position. 24 VDC actuator. Max VSWR at 5 Ghz is 1.35-1. Insertion loss at 5 Ghz is .03 db. Isolation at 5 Ghz = 55db.
