Type LC and LT - Connectors and Adapters
Max-Gain Systems, Inc. is proud to offer an assortment of hard-to find types "LC" and "LT"connectors and adapters for sale. How to identify LC vs LT connectors:
The most obvious difference is the thickness of the internal contact ring. The interior contact ring on the LT is far thicker that that on the LC. The external diameter and threads are the same on both types, so they will "start" to mate, but the two types are in fact not compatible, and forcing them (an LT male into an LC female, or an LC male into an LT female) further than the point where resistance is felt will result in damage. Most of these are "removed from military equipment", and therefore are top quality, mil-spec types! The cable that the military uses on these is 50 ohm, flameproof type, with silver plated, s tranded copper center conductor, Teflon dielectric, DOUBLE layer of 98% silver plated braid, and Teflon and woven fiberglass on top of that! This coax should allow you to transmit at about 20 kw while someone is blasting you with a flamethrower! Seriously, this is simply the best available . The coax diameter is "about" the same size as RG-8 . Flanges measure 2 inches square . Holes are 1 . 5 inches on-centers . These are all "removed from equipment", in very good condition. We (usually) have a good selection of these mil-spec, silver plated, type LC female connectors for sale . These are all 4 hole chassis flange mounts, but there are two styles . . . One style has a solder connection for the center conductor on the back, and the other style is for coaxial cable .
